The Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina organised a meeting with representatives of institutions, international organisations, development partners, diplomatic missions, and civil society organisations, aiming to strengthen cooperation and coordination of activities in the field of the labour market and employment.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, the FBiH Employment Service, the RS Employment Service, the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the World Bank, DVV International, the Embassies of the Kingdom of Sweden, the Czech Republic, and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), the Foreign Investors Council in BiH (FIC), the Impakt Investment Foundation, the Mozaik Foundation, the Centre for Development Evaluation and Social Science Research (CREDI) and the Munja Social Innovation Incubator.

During the meeting, participants discussed key challenges and priorities in the labour market of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a particular focus on digitalisation of employment services, improving labour market statistics and analytics, developing skills and qualifications systems, bridging the gap between education and the labour market, implementing active labour market measures and the European integration processes.

Particular emphasis was placed on the exchange of information regarding the ongoing and planned activities of various organisations and institutions, as well as on identifying areas of common interest with potential for enhanced cooperation and improved coordination. Participants shared their programmes, projects, and experiences contributing to labour market development and employment advancement in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The discussion underscored the importance of maintaining continuous dialogue and information exchange among institutions, international organisations, development partners, and other relevant stakeholders. The meeting offered an opportunity to assess current labour market challenges and priorities for exchanging perspectives on potential areas for future collaboration.

The Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to actively work on connecting all relevant stakeholders and promoting a coordinated approach in addressing labour market challenges while recognising partnerships, exchange of knowledge and joint action are a key to achieving sustainable results.
