Delegation of the State of Qatar visiting Labour and Employment Agency of BiH



A Delegation of the State of Qatar met with the representatives of the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina today to discuss the implementation procedures of the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the State of Qatar on Employment of Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the State of Qatar.

The Delegation of the State of Qatar expressed willingness to sign the above Agreement as soon as possible and all existing doubts concerning the final text of the Agreement have been removed. Members of the Qatari Delegation explained that there was a high demand for workers in the Qatari labour market to fill jobs in construction sector, catering and hospitality and child and old persons care.

The Labour and Employment Agency of BiH assumed the obligation to provide all services related to mediation in employment within 15 days.  All work contracts of BiH citizens in Qatar, once the mediation has taken place, will be deposited in the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH and the Embassy of the State of Qatar to Bosnia and Herzegovina.  It is important to say that besides salaries, our workers in Qatar would have free health insurance, food and accommodation, paid plain tickets to and from Qatar and enjoy other facilities.
