The first Labour and Employment Forum – Dialogue and Partnerships for the Future concluded at Jahorina today.  Over the course of two days, the Forum gathered more than a hundred participants who, during five panel sessions, discussed the labour market situation and challenges, digitalisation and new skills that will be demanded from workers, migration from and to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the employment of foreign labour, attraction of diaspora to the domestic labour market, labour market resilience, and experiences from the region and Europe.

The concept of the Labour and Employment Forum was warmly welcomed by participants, and we hope that it will evolve into a regular platform for dialogue among all labour market stakeholders. The Forum was also an opportunity to build new connections, strengthen existing ties between various stakeholders, exchange ideas and arrange new meetings that will generate concrete ideas and projects aimed at strengthening the labour market.

The closing panel summarised the work carried out during this two-day event, and panelists will prepare the conclusions and share their recommendations with the participants of the event.

The Forum was organised by the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the support of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES).
