Regarding the confirmed information that some Slovenian companies have violated the rights of workers from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the provisions of the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia on Employment of Workers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH would like to inform the public that we have already intervened in one case and precluded the company Univerzalna logistika d.o.o. from hiring workers from BiH for the last two years.

Owing to the cooperation with trade unions from Slovenia, we receive all relevant information on working conditions of our citizens in Slovenia and regularly exchange the information with the Slovenian Employment Service.  Owing to this cooperation, we have also been informed of the industries in which workers’ rights are most often violated.

It is important to stress that all our actions are taken in cooperation with the Slovenian institutions, primarily with the Slovenian Employment Service.

In cooperation with the mentioned institutions, the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH is currently preparing the information listing all companies that violate the rights of workers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the ways these rights are violated.  This information will be submitted to the Commission responsible for the monitoring of the implementation of the Employment Agreement and the listed companies will be precluded from hiring new workers from BiH.  The information will be sent to the Commission by the end of this week at the latest and thereafter the Labour Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia will be engaged in the control of the working conditions of our citizens.

With a view to providing accurate information to the public, it should also be noted that all workers coming to the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH obtain the full information on the rights and working conditions in Slovenia.  Useful advice for our workers in Slovenia is also available on http://www.arz.gov.ba/nezaposleni/Upozorenje%20Slovenija.pdf
