Collaboration with Countries of Origin – Addressing the Complexities of Return, Readmission and Integration is the title of the expert conference being organized by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) on 27 – 28 March 2024 in Belgrade and attended by representatives of the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The aim of the conference is to give a more comprehensive picture of migration in the Western Balkans, including the labour migration, i.e. migrant workers from the third countries coming to the Western Balkans region in search of jobs.

Ivan Barbalić, Director of the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, addressed the audience at the opening session saying that Bosnia and Herzegovina was at the same time the country of origin of many migrants, but also a destination for third-country nationals and that an increasing shortage of labour is creating conditions for the arrival  of a growing  number of migrant workers.
