More efficient implementation of the Social Security Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republic of Slovenia

Representatives of the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH visited the Employment Service of the Brčko District BiH on 22 November 2011 in order to set up electronic exchange of data on insurance periods in framework of implementation of the Social Security Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Slovenia. 

Representatives of the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH visited the Employment Service of the Brčko District BiH on 22 November 2011 in order to set up electronic exchange of data on insurance periods in framework of implementation of the Social Security Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Slovenia. 

The aim of setting up the electronic data exchange is to reduce time needed to handle social insurance dossiers in entity-level employment services and the Employment Service of the BiH Brčko District so as to process and send all dossiers to the Employment Service of Slovenia (ESS) within 15 days as defined in the Operation Protocol concluded between the Agency and the ESS.   Representatives of the Agency installed and configured MS Windows SP 3, MS Office 2010, opened a separate e-mail address to receive social insurance dossiers, configured MS Outlook and conducted an e-mail receive test from the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, installed Adobe Reader, configured anti-virus software and conducted trial issuance of certificate of insurance periods.  Besides mentioned activities, representatives of the Agency and the Brčko District Employment Service jointly defined the procedure of electronic data exchange and identified elements for development of an operation protocol such as: how to exchange codes for data encryption, contact persons for exchange of information, deadlines for exchange of data on insurance periods (7 days), deadlines for submission of notifications on replacement of codes and contact persons.  After these activities, the staff of the Employment Service, which will be engaged in handling of social insurance dossiers, was trained.   

In the end, we can conclude that the Employment Service of the Brčko District BiH is ready to join the procedure of data exchange concerning insurance periods in framework of implementation of the Social Security Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Slovenia.
