On 30 June 2015 539,512 persons were registered as unemployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As compared to the previous month, the number of the unemployed was increased by 2,171 persons or 0.40%.

Unemployment was increased in the Federation of BiH by 1,563 persons (0.45%) in Republika Srpska by 617 persons (0.44%) and was down in Brčko District BiH by 9 persons (0.07%).

In occupational structure of job seekers as on 30 June 2015 there were 145,553 unskilled workers or 26.98%, 9,771 semi-skilled workers or 1.81%, 184,125 skilled workers or 34.13%, 3,051 highly skilled workers or 0.57%, 1,529 workers with primary education or 0.28%, 146,679 with secondary education or 27.19%, 7,366 with higher non-university education or 1.37% and 41,438 with university education or 7.68%.

The largest share in registered unemployment is still made up of persons with third level of education – skilled workers with 34.13% and workers with secondary education 27.19%.

The total outflow from PES registers in June amounted to 14,309 persons, out of which 8,755 persons were employed.

At the same time, there were 5,679 persons whose employment terminated while employers registered with PES 3,994 vacancies in this period.

According to data of the BiH Agency for Statistics, in May 2015 the number of persons in paid employment in legal entities in BiH amounted to 712,353 persons, out of which 294,814 were women. As compared to April 2015, the total number of persons in paid employment in legal entities was increased by 0.3%.

Registered unemployment rate in May 2015 was 43.0%. As compared to April 2015 it was down by 0.3 percentage points.
