Overview of labour market situation on 30 November 2013

On 30 November 2013 551,474 persons were registered as unemployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As compared to the previous month, the number of the unemployed was down by 1,233 persons or 0.22%.
Unemployment was down in the Federation of BiH by 930 persons (0.24%), in the Republika Srpska by 421 persons (0.28%), but it was increased in the Brčko District BiH by 118 persons (0,93%)
In occupational structure of job seekers as on 30 November 2013 there were 154,488 unskilled workers or 28.01%, 10,677 semi-skilled workers or 1.94%, 189,931 skilled workers or 34.44%, 3,569 highly skilled workers or 0.65%, 1,661 workers with primary education or 0.30%, 144.262 with secondary education or 26.16%, 7,761 with higher non-university education or 1.41% and 39,126 with university education or 7.09%.
The largest share in registered unemployment is still made up of persons with third level of education – skilled workers with 34.44%, unskilled workers with 28.01% and workers with secondary education 26.16%
The total outflow from PES registers in November amounted to 14,108 persons, out of which 7,959 persons were employed.
At the same time, there were 5,836 persons whose employment terminated while employers registered with PES 2,884 vacancies in this period.
