On 30 June 2013 548,307 persons were registered as unemployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As compared to the previous month, the number of the unemployed was increased by 982 persons or 0.18%.

Unemployment was down in the Republika Srpska by 771 persons (0.51%), but was increased in the Federation of BiH by 1,740 persons (0.45%) and in Brčko District BiH by 13 persons (0,1%)

In occupational structure of job seekers as on 30 June 2013 there were 157,926 unskilled workers or 28.80%, 10,954 semi-skilled workers or 2.00%, 189,272 skilled workers or 34.52%, 3,713 highly skilled workers or 0.68%, 1,750 workers with primary education or 0.32%, 140.539 with secondary education or 25.63%, 7,640 with higher non-university education or 1.39% and 36,513 with university education or 6.66%.

The largest share in registered unemployment is still made up of persons with third level of education – skilled workers with 34.52% and unskilled workers with 29.80%.

The total outflow from PES registers in June amounted to 11,869 persons, out of which 6,802 persons were employed.

At the same time, there were 5,188 persons whose employment terminated while employers registered with PES 2,211 vacancies in this period.

According to data of the BiH Agency for Statistics, in May 2013 the number of persons in paid employment in legal entities in BiH amounted to 685,294 persons, out of which 282,150 were women. As compared to April 2013, the total number of persons in paid employment in legal entities was increased by 0.1%.

Registered unemployment rate in April 2013 was 44.4%.
