On 30 November 2012 547,797 persons were registered as unemployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As compared to the previous month, the number of the unemployed was increased by 1,859  persons or 0.34%.

Unemployment was increased in the Federation of BiH by 1,060 persons (0.28%), in the Republika Srpska by 642 persons (0.42%) and in Brčko District BiH by 157 persons (1.30%)

In occupational structure of job seekers as on 30 November 2012 there were 159,892 unskilled workers or 29.19%, 11,142 semi-skilled workers or 2.03%, 190,034 skilled workers or 34.69%, 3,703 highly skilled workers or 0.68%, 1,837 workers with primary education or 0.34%, 139,966 with secondary education or 25.55%, 7,499 with higher non-university education or 1.37% and 33,724 with university education or 6.16%.

The largest share in registered unemployment is still made up of persons with third level of education – skilled workers with 34.69% and unskilled workers with 29.19%.

The total outflow from PES registers in November amounted to 12,223 persons, out of which 5,866 persons were employed.

At the same time, there were 5,968 persons whose employment terminated while employers registered with PES 1,904 vacancies in this period.

According to data of the BiH Agency for Statistics, in October 2012 the number of persons in paid employment in legal entities in BiH amounted to 687,009 persons, out of which 280,945 were women. As compared to September 2012, the total number of persons in paid employment in legal entities was down by 0.2%.

Registered unemployment rate in October 2012 was 44.3%. As compared to September 2012 it was increased by 0.1 percentage points.
