Director of the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH has visited the BiH Foreign Trade Chamber



The President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Ahmet Egrlić, held a meeting with the Director of the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH, Mr. Adnan Delić.  Besides Mr. Egrlić and Mr. Delić, the meeting was attended by Mr. Zdravko Marinković, Acting Secretary-General of the FTC BiH, Mr. Duljko Hasić, Director of the Institute for Education of the Foreign Trade Chamber, and Mr. Asim Ibrahimagić, Assistant Director of the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH.  The aim of the meeting was to establish cooperation between the two institutions in order to enhance the business environment and address the issue of unemployment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The participants agreed that they had many fields of interest in common in which a joint cooperation could largely contribute to resolving numerous issues related to one of the most topical problems which BiH has been facing for a number of years, i.e. high unemployment rate.   Reducing unemployment rate necessitates further adjustments of education system to the labour market needs in order to produce more competent, adequate and better quality labour force that is capable of meeting the current labour market requests.  In that view, it is necessary to put focus on adjustment and improvement of the education system through legal solutions which should regulate enrolment policy as well. 

Given its scope of activity and the fact that it is directly involved in economic flows and has the relevant information, the BiH Foreign Trade Chamber has been recognised as a prominent partner on this issue.  The Institute for Education has been active for many years in education and training of entrepreneurs aiming to meet the needs of the market.  It is therefore clear that the Foreign Trade Chamber has adequate training facilities and capacities to train entrepreneurs for their adequate market penetration in both domestic and international market.  In this respect, it puts itself at disposal to the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH for any kind of assistance and improvement of mutual cooperation.
