A delegation of the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina attended VIII Managerial and VII Expert CPESSEC Conferences, held on November 3 – 4, 2011 in Zagreb. 

A delegation of the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina attended VIII Managerial and VII Expert CPESSEC Conferences, held on November 3 – 4, 2011 in Zagreb. 

The Managerial Conference with the working title ‘Skills for Green Jobs’ was aimed at introducing participants to the concepts of green jobs and green skills.  The Conference discussed the new green skills needs and proposed further education and training in this field.  Participants exchanged data anticipating green skills needs and touched on the issue of flexibility, preparedness and capacity of the existing education system to adjust.   Regional experiences concerning the creation of new green jobs were exchanged in the end.  The conclusion of the conference was that green jobs present opportunity for creation of new jobs and that skills and capacities needed for green jobs should be developed.

The second day was reserved for the Expert Conference with the working title ‘Labour Force Mobility and EURES’.  The participants provided information on labour force mobility. Conclusions made and recommendations given in the conference will be used in the CPESSEC future work.

The Conferences were organized by the Croatian Employment Service as the CPESSEC presiding member in 2011.  The Conferences were attended by representatives of the World Association of Public Employment Services (WAPES), European Training Foundation (ETF), European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), Croatian Employers’ Association (CEA) and representatives of public employment services of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Ireland, Macedonia, Germany, Romania, Slovenia and Serbia.
