2,556 applications for verification of accumulated period of pensionable service in Bosnia and Herzegovina processed in first six months of 2012

In the first half of 2012, the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina processed 2,556 applications from Republic of Slovenia, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Montenegro and Republic of Austria acting in accordance with effective agreements on social security and within its competencies. 

Out of this number, we received 790 new applications from abroad during this semi-annual period filed for verification of accumulated periods of pensionable service as a requirement for eligibility to cash benefits. 888 applications were received from Entity Employment Services and Employment Service of the Brčko District and 878 applications were processed and returned to national employment services of the above countries. The largest number of applications was returned to the Republic of Serbia (468), followed by Republic of Slovenia (367), Republic of Montenegro (34) and Republic of Austria (1). 

During this period, the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina received 15 applications for recruitment of 287 workers filed by companies from abroad which were forwarded for further procedure to Entity Employment Services and the Employment Service of the Brčko District of BiH. The largest number of applications came from the Republic of Slovenia (7), followed by the Republic of Croatia (3) and Republic of Austria (2) and one application came from each of the following countries: Swiss Confederation, State of Qatar and Republic of Iraq.
